FUSE Blackbody UV Flux Calculator Version 2.0

1997 December 4

2003, March 5; WARNING! We have discovered that the reddening corrections at long wavelengths (i.e. longward of ~2000A) are incorrect. We are working on a bug chase and fix. The reddening is correctly applied in the FUSE range, so the tool will be left up until fixed, but don't use it outside of the FUSE wavelength range

Blackbody Effective Temperature: Kelvin
Extrapolate far UV flux from given:

measured flux of : ergs cm-2 s-1 Å-1 at a wavelength of : Å
V magnitude :
Color excess E(B-V):
Rv:

The far UV flux is extrapolated assuming the source spectrum is a perfect blackbody. Non-LTE effects and the effects of line blanketing are not included. These effects can be very important!
